Born in a real restaurant.
Not a packaging startup that surveyed some restaurants. A restaurant that got tired of the way bags were bought.
Where this came from
We are the first customer.
MenuBags was built by the family behind Cottage Tandoori in Storrington. Everything on this site started as a problem in a working takeaway: menus that went out of date the moment a price changed, bags that said nothing, and quotes that arrived days after you asked for them.
The first bags off the line are theirs. We are not selling something we have not bought ourselves — the same order, the same minimum, the same wait. That is a deliberately uncomfortable position to be in, and it is the fastest way to find out whether a product is any good.
Why it works
The pipeline came first.
Before there was a configurator, there was a set of print files that a manufacturer accepted and printed. That is a higher bar than it sounds: artwork that survives contact with a real press, in a real factory, at real volume.
The configurator is that same pipeline, opened up. When you move a line of your menu on screen, you are moving it in the artwork that goes to the press — not in a picture of it. That is why the preview can be a promise instead of an impression, and it is the one thing we will not compromise on.
The kitchen
Where the bags are used.
Everything here was tested where it matters: on a counter, at seven on a Friday, in the hands of somebody carrying two bags and a card machine. That is the only review of a takeaway bag that counts, and it is the one we get every week.

Who we are
A small company, plainly.
MenuBags is a product of Exotic Creations Ltd, a UK company. There is no sales team and no call centre — the prices are published, the minimum is published, and the lead time is published, so there is nothing for a salesperson to do. If you want to talk to a person, you will get one of us.
